August 26 Wellers Bay

On the water by 7:30 am and off by 11:30 am. 6 or 7 small walleyes, 4 small pike, a couple of small Largemouth. Highlight of the day was a 3 plus lb. Largemouth. Noting over 14" long except maybe the Largest of the Largemouth. All on spinners, made no difference if using Artificial or Live Bait. A much better day than last Saturday. All successfully released to fight another day.

That's all I've got, another time. Sorry no pics but I didn't think my phone could zoom in that Close.

Must have been a fun day! Any chance you might offer some tips on where to fish on Wellers Bay? I’ve had little success across from the Smokes Point boat launch and East along the south shore. Thanks!

I fished the weedlines off the deep water basin where a lot of people overnight camp on the sand dunes, north of the big island . Deepest spot is 22' deep, weeds are in 8' to 14' of water. Very trollable as the weeds are 8 to ten feet below the surface of the water. Hope this helps.
