Got out the past two weekends with some new people. Last week went with a new coworker and we boated a few but nothing special. He just started getting into fishing this year and bought himself a fishing kayak so he was excited to get out onto Lake Ontario as he's spent most of his summer in smaller rivers.

Sunday I went out with hablover and another friend that I haven't fished with before. We were moderately successful. Had a decent first three hours but then the pike went all lock jaw on us and we had NOTHING for the next three hours. That left us wondering where we went wrong and wanting more. My buddy loves making his fish look bigger though

It always amazes me how fish behaviour can turn seemingly on a dime. I'm usually left feeling inadequate and that I'm a terrible fisherman who knows nothing. Not sure what we should have done, if there was anything, when they shut down to get them biting again.
Anyway, there's always next weekend!
