Winds and schedule finally co-operated, went out through upper gap, at a 1/2mile west started marking small bait balls in 20-30 FOW, worked the area for a few hours, rewarded with 1 SM Bass, pulled lines and went further west to structure I found last trip, fish were still there, end up with 6 pike from 30 to 36" and another 1lb SM bass, we even landed a pike double header, it sure helps when you have partner who knows how to net fish, all released to fight another day, 6 of 8 fish caught on same Purple & white Smithwick Rouge 20, 2 came on a DDHJ12 custom Barbie pattern. All lures down 16-20 ft
No walleye.
It was great morning on lake, SW winds picked up by around noon as per forecast.
