Hello all,

New angler here, I was wondering if the salmon season is over? I was fishing the Belleville area as I am from Ottawa.
It is my first season fishing and I only made two trips...Once at the beginning of Oct and again last weekend.

Last weekend was pretty dead, just two guys were fishing the Lott dam which is the area I read on for being good.

Just wondering if it's over? I heard trout come by but they weren't there last weekend....Not sure if worth the trip from Ottawa since it's a 2 1/2 hour drive.
Don't want to show up and see no fish and drive back home in disappointment.

I appreciate all the info.

Salmon are at the end of the run now you still get the od 1 but the major runs have ended, now you can get the float out and try for the steal head that will be moving in

Thanks man. Do you think there's steel head in Belleville this weekend? Or should I wait till next weekend? I use a fixed float set up I learned on you tube.

This one just in case maybe there's something you'd like to add.
