With the winds forecasted to be low for the morning then blowing up around noon a few of us decided to run out to main duck. Expecting to catch fish like they're in a barrel, we struggled. Jumped around to a few spots but only a few scattered, small fish and by noon we pulled the plug, ahead of the wind, to play in the waters around waupoos. We found a good school with enough fish to catch double headers for a few hours with lots in the 4.12-5.1 lb range. Even the small 2 lbers were fat solid fish. The water in waupoos has pretty much cleared up with a bit of green tinge left over from the summer algae with the water temp at 53. Out at main duck water crystal clear and 56. temp.
So far the wind is looking favorable for another go this weekend but we shall see.
