I heard there was going to be some work done to the ferry launch but this may have been a while ago.

Anyone know if it's open and useable?

Thanks

The water is very low and you will be backing off the steel grate. There is also no dock. There were boats that launched today but I didn’t risk it

i was there sunday morning and did not launch there. i have a 20' boat. I watch a 16 lund go in. he pushed it off. you do not want to go over the end of the steel grating. it drops 2'. a few trailer parts and a license plate in the hole.

"license plate in the hole"

Another great reason for carrying one of those little 10 lb weights.

Nice 'n small, stick 20-50 feet of cord on it, save some heart ache.

Stopped by Glenora this morning. The ramp is blocked. Looks like someone got hung up and warped the ramp.

There was a truck submerged there on Tuesday. Wrecked the grate when they pulled it out.

"What little 10 lb weights?"

You got us, we were guessing on size.

You must have seen them? Might not be 10 lb, but about half the size of a cig pack, and a bit longer.

Attach a cord, and use for all kinds of stuff. Last time we used ours was to pull a Friend's sunglasses out of 7' of water off the end of our dock. Sorry, no foto - it's in The Boat.~

THINK we got it at CanTire.

instead of weights, are you thinking magnets? 10lb lifting capacity?

WOW I just read this post. Anyone have any idea how the truck ended up that far in the water? I assume he has a trailer attached?

Sheesh... yeah Tom, we meant MAGNETS.

Apologies to all for the confusion.

Wow, 78 as of a few days ago... and it's beginning to show BIG Time.

ALSO... lifting capacity is 'way better than 10 lbs. Believe some will lift close to 100-200 lbs.... at least high enough to grab at the surface.

Migawd, cannot believe we said 'Weights'...~
