Was out to fish on Sat. AM and the wind was blowing as we headed out tot he Old Church weedline, kinda in the lee, but still very windy, motored slowly around the Duck Blind Pt towards the lee of Thompsons to fish the "cove". A friend had picked up a pair and another boat had picked up four. We trolled around the weed edges and then the wind REALLY picked and pushed us right over the weeds and I picked one - 23"- 5 lbs.

Another camper was over there on Friday and did very well on the weed edges.

The wind blew us ashore................

Saturday night trolled and cast around Ram Is as the wind was still quite strong. Helped a sailboat off Ram Is, they tried to go between Ram Is and the Green Buoy - D'oh

Did happen to hit a small pike on a small RedSwan Gold Spoon.

Out to fish Sunday AM, water VERY flat and FOGGY. Headed to Shermans at 0845 as the fog was lifting. My Dad & I each had a fish within the first 15 mins. Hit two other small ones - all with Uzik Spinner. Back to camp at 1230.

Heard of some one gettting three keepers on the Bayview Shoal.

Another report from same camper who did well on Friday, slayed again on Sunday. Using a Uzick knockoff, they landed a pike, walleyes( 14-18-26-28 inches) - Thompsons 'Cove'

The fish are generally much bigger especially those in the weeds.

Tight Lines

Great post as usaual.. I've heard so much about these famous "Uzick Spinners".. What is it and where can I find one ?? We have been making plans for a Quinte trip but won't come there until we find these spinners.. I've looked for them at a few fishing stores and nothing..

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Bill,

Drop me an email and I'll explain the Uzick spinners' methods and construction.
