Quinte Fishing

Looking to fish Adolphus reach next week ( weather dependent). I have and 18ft boat so just looking for suggestions on safe launches around. Will be travelling appx 2hrs.

It is getting tougher to get into the water in that area.

A few options depending where u are coming from.

Your safest is picton harbour. 15 km boat ride to bat cave/lighthouse.

Finkle’s is still launchable but u cannot go off the grating on the side or end. Get out and determine the end of the ramp and have someone stop u before u go off it. If the water is not clear and waves then it will be tough to see.You will shred a tire. If it is windy from the west or sw then it is a challenge to get out. 7km boat run.

Ferry launch is closed for repairs.

It is going to be windy I launch in picton. If it is not then I launch at Finkle’s. I am coming from the east.

At this time of year it is better to be safe then sorry. Wrong choice and it will ruin a good day of fishing.

Thanks fullspeed, ya I’m coming from the west. So thinking Picton May be best bet for me.

Is the launch at McFarland Park usable at this time of year?

Boats launch there Sunday. Not sure how it is.
