Did anyone have any luck yesterday? Beautiful out on the water with lots of boats but no one seemed to be catching anything. The fish are there but just not biting...

First time posting long time lurker. I was out Sunday in the summer weather and yesterday in what seemed like perfect conditions. 1 fish 15 hours of trolling. Marking lots as well. We're in the right place. They will turn on. But it has been slow for us as well.

We fished yesterday morning for about 3 hours no fish, so we when for a boat ride and fished the lake caught a few, not target species but fish none the less. Talking to a few other boats, that are much more experienced fishing Quinte than me, I communicate with a few walleye were caught, but not too many. Hopefully still time to land a few trophies.

We were seeing lots and lots of bait fish yesterday, usually quite deep near the bottom. Maybe they just have too much other stuff to feed on...

I was out yesterday first time this year.
Fished deep and shallow with no luck for walleye.
Caught one small silver bass I think it was.
Need to think about a tattle flag for my boards as I had no idea it was there until I wound in.
Really great to be out as the conditions were very nice wind wise.
Hope they fix the ferry launch as picton launch freezes up to soon for me
Still early, fishing will get better!
Rob

Was out Friday from 7am to about 3:30pm until the wind picked up. Only 3 silver bass to show for none of which triggered the tattle flags, FYI Rob.

Thanks Bren
I thought tattle flags were more sensitive and would show more.
My silver bass was less than half pound no way I could tell from the planer board it was on.

Tattle systems have adjustable sensitivity by moving the springs up or down holes.

Of course if you’re running snap weights and a deep lure like a reef 800 or td11 it will need a lot of tension to keep the flag up so not much adjustment available.

The problem I’ve noticed is when you see the white bass hit the flag bumps but after that they often don’t make it move or noticeably anyways, unless it’s flat calm.
