Chuckle, I'm not sure but it was an interesting situation. Lower Trent was deeded the shore line in front of the lake frontage lots and access points by the developer in 1981 with the express direction that the public have access to Lake Ontario. When Lake Ontario levels rose homeowners shorelines starting eroding. They could not protect their shoreline because they never owned it. So Lower Trent and the Grafton council decided to extend each lot (for a dollar) and do away with the public access points citing it a hazard. It amounted to 9 acres of frontage.
