I've got my 3rd annual fishing trip coming up with a few of my buddies and we've decided to try the BOQ out. By word of mouth it's suppose to have amazing eyes, pikers and bass. I'm having some trouble finding out a place to rent a cottage and a few boats for the weekend. Can anyone help me out?

Any suggestions on the best places to fish on the BOQ? I'm trying to find some places near Northport but if you can help me out much appreciated!!!

Just an aside, I was out for a couple hours on Belwood Lake this weekend and had a great day fishin, pullin in 7 pikers all smaller between 4-5.5 lbs but since they were the first ones i've ever landed I was stoked!!! I tried everything, spinners, spoons, DT's, husky jerks, then switched to the mepps #3 stainless and I couldn't keep the fish off the line!!

Sounds like Belwood Lake has BOQ looking like a possum's pecker. If I were you, I would plan another trip to Belwood. Just where is Belwood anyhow & where's the boat launch?

Go to the home page and hit one of the links, resorts, campgrounds and boat rentals. You'll find everything you are looking for there. Good Luck![/url]

Belwood Lake is located just outside of Fergus, Ontario. I've heard that it has great pike fishing and I can testify to that! I'm probably going to head up there after work today for a few hours and see what I can reel in.

Belwood Lake is part of the Grand River Conservation Authority, basically like a public park. There's a few places for public boat launches and it's got great hiding spots and lots of structure for the pike to live in. It's also got perch, browns, and smallies

Here's the link to the website:

A group of us stay at Cedar Point Resort for the opening weekend every year. Donna and John, the owners, have always treated us really well.

Along with nice, well equiped cottages and a beautiful view, they offer boat rentals too and those that I've been in are stable and in good working order.

Good luck!

CHEERS!
