Quinte Fishing

Got out for sunrise and sunset yesterday near the Narrows. Fished in 17-19 fow. 5-8” of black ice where we were. 2 small perch came up, but several schools of perch came through both in the morning and evening. A couple soft touches from walleye, but no proper hits. Only saw 1 walleye iced all day. Some serious lock jaw with this high pressure cold front. No electronics, so can’t tell you if any fish were moving through.

We did get a learning opportunity to not forget the empty bag for the hut on the ground on a windy day... got some good exercise sprinting after it.

Brought in 2 and lost 4 in the same area 2 weeks ago.

Glow perch flutter spoons have gotten the most interest, followed by gold buckshot.

Thanks for the report. Good on you to chase down the garbage. I think attitudes are changing towards garbage as it used to be guys would just let it fly. Still some slobs who leave stuff on the ice.
