I was out there on Saturday. I was on 5.5" (measured) clear black ice. Less than 10 steps away I nearly lost my spud when it sailed through in one poke. With a bunch of people around it's very easy to make assumptions. Stay vigilant if you're anywhere near current.

Same story here ,, took my nephew out along bayshore drilled 3 holes one for flasher,,, ice went from almost 6 inches to 2.5 within 5feet. I deffinitly dont take the bike to far off shore in that area ..
