I was wondering what people’s opinions are about underwater cameras and spooking walleye. I have seen a ton on my camera this year (used it 6 times) only caught 2.

Stopped taking the camera out and caught more.

I heard it’s a bad idea to have the light on the camera turned on. But was wondering what others thoughts were about using the camera and using the camera with the light on.

Thanks!

Caught 2 of my biggest using a camera. But have used the camera a few times this year and haven’t seen a thing. Had a beauty of a day with 19 eyes in 3 hours....only a flasher no camera that day. Camera is great for frustrating the hell out of yourself, especially when going out to other places for trout.
Not sure a camera is worth it. Definitely a good flasher unit, or spend the money on getting someone to take you to a spot at least once a winter.
