Quinte Fishing

Hey gents, the countdown's on for my annual fishing trip and I'm having trouble on finding info on fishing up at the BOQ. I've been reading the msg board and seems like there's an abundance of wallies up there but I haven't heard many stories of bass or pikers.

Are they up there or just very scarce? All the help is appreciated. Well I'm off from the office early today for a 1/2 day up at Bellewood to see if I can land some more pikers.

PLUS the Bass season is still closed........

I'm headed up to the BOQ July 8-11 so bass season will have just opened up. I'm just trying to get a little help from the local crowd to make the experience that much better.

All the guys in the group are strong believers in catch and release, it makes the sport more enjoyable. Plus, when you go back the following year the fish are that much bigger!! Also, it helps to maintain a sustainable ecosystem...... so that when my lil' bro gets bigger he'll be able to enjoy the sport too!

bass seem to be hitting early, I keep getting a few on my flies here and there, looking for good spots to fly fish for pike, if anyone knows of some spots.
I didn't think people ate bass anymore... I stopped years ago, I'm 99% catch and release (only keep at trout farms now, then give the meat away to relatives) much rather have an angus steak.

9 days left till bass opens!!!!
