Can anyone please confirm if the Wellington Launch still open or has the "stay at home" order resulted in a closure. Thx.

Boat Launches

UPDATE: All municipal boat launches are open. We are accepting only cash payment for launch fees at this time.

At the direction of Council, the boat launch at the end of Beach Street in Wellington is reserved solely for launching non-motorized watercraft during the 2020 boating season. Boaters with motorized watercraft can launch at the Belleville Street location in Wellington or any of the other boat launches in the County.

The Wellington beach launch is open, no dock... water low, concrete uneven, launching was okay for my 17 foot boat. At the end of the day putting boat back on the trailer took a bit more effort to get the trailer positioned correctly, due to low water and uneven pavement, trailer tires just on edge of concrete ramp in the water, if I had to go back another couple inches in the water trailer would have feel off end of concrete ramp. If launching with a larger boat might have issues.

We watched someone pull their boat out using the Belleville street launch, seemed to be a better option. I read they are closing that launch? But was open Wednesday.

I prefer the Belleville st launch just a pain in the butt for parking. I heard they are closing it too. Sucks

Gentlemen: Thx for the info but with the new measures announced yesterday it seems it may be awhile before we get out anyway. I appreciate your feedback.
