Boy I bet that title gets plenty of clicks alone! hehehe
Just wondering if the Walleye are still munching on the sawbellies (a.k.a. shad or Allwives)? We had the most interesting trip a few weeks ago fishing in Long Reach where some Walleye actually "upchucked" these minnows as we were landing the fish.
Believe it or not, one Walleye "brought one up" in our livewell. The funniest part of the story is that the minnow wasn't to be found a few hours later. And yes, I do have a screen on my livewell overflow.
So... recent upchucked minnows... high water temp... and a lowering water level. Does this mean trolling the deep weedlines on windswept shores with shad colored cranks may be the right thing to do on my trip next week?
