Quinte Fishing

Well, I launched on Brighton bay at 5:30 AM and fished untill noon.
Possibly the worst fishing day in 20+ years. Could not get anything to bite whatsoever. Only saw one large dead walleye. Looked like it was dead for about 2 days. If it was fresh I would have brought it back to shore. That is how desperate I've become. Convinced that even perch should be considered "fish of a thousand casts". I tried trolling, casting, still fishing. I don't mind being on the water but I can only take so many of these little or no fish days before I decide to give up on this sport. Is it just me or is anyone else out there not catching anything? Everyone I spoke to at the boat launch did not catch anything either. I feel for the resort operators. These fishless days seem to be the norm whereas in years gone by they were the exception. How were the other areas this weekend?

Spoke with my father the other day, he was up there June 10-12 weekend, and he caught 20+ walleyes. Mostly small ones, but they're there, just gotta look for them. That was the 2nd weekend in a row where he got #'s.
Just chalk it up as one of those days and try again. Good luck.
