Heard that there are some walleye being caught in the Murray canal on either ends (Brighton or Carrying Place). I haven't had a chance to try but have had success in the canal in the past dragging a worm on the bottom slowly. No boat needed and a great place to take a kid fishing as there are lot's of panfish also. Bring a life jacket if you plan on bringing kids as the current can be swift.

I caught one there last year unexpectedly, was actually targeting bass and suprised to see I had a walleye on. some nice perch there as well
