We hit the water launching out of deseronto and went to a spot in the backend of Hay Bay that I wondered with the water levels would be too low. It that has generally produced well on opening days of past with higher water levels. Not this year it was already weed choked and water quality was terrible. Gave it a try anyway and moved on. Spent the next few hours stopping at points, rockplies ect... and managed to catch fish but darn sure I would of been on the latter half of the tournament standings. Caught about 10-12 fish and packed it up by about 2pm. Only a couple in the 3 lb range most were 2lbers. 10' worm . swimbait and buzzbait worked for us. It was quite a nice day out and it was the first time since covid I was able to spend it with a life long buddy the famous Cymbals man. He caught about 6 fish and was happy to be out of the house. Looking forward to chasing the smallies in the big lake when the season there opens on July 1st
