Very few entries here lately. So....
As I live in Peat's Pt. I go out most evenings at sundown for 45 minutes in the Belleville area. Most I've seen is 2 other boats. I cast into the shallows...docks, rocky areas, shore weed lines. Taildancer, CCShad and panther martin. 4 of the past 5 evenings I got 1 or 2 pickerel, all between 18 & 20". Two nights ago, I hooked my 1st ever musky in the Bay, on the taildancer. Had it on for 2 minutes before it snapped the line. No it wasn't a pike...catch them fairly regular.

Hello Turk, yes I believe you had a musky. In 50 years of fishing the bay I had never caught a muskie, until the last couple years. I have landed 1 and lost 1 at the boat in the Northport area. My buddie caught 1 in front of Myers Pier last year. Tiger muskies and not over 5 lbs.

Saw a tiger musky caught landed and released on a jig under the bay bridge about 10 yrs ago. It weighed 10 lbs.

Muskies everywhere out there. I got one in the river in front of the old beer store not long ago.
Nothing from Myers this morning. But there was a sad situation down there.
Regards

Yes I heard that a vehicle had drove into the water from off meyers pier. Here's what little news there is about the incident. https://www.quintenews.com/2021/06/29/update-myers-pier-incident/

I caught a small muskie from shore in the Moria river south of lock 1 about ten years ago. I was just playing around passing time trying to catch some bass I could see in a hole, and a muskie darted out from the shadows and took my bait. I had the most basic of set ups - a worm on a hook and a small bobber! The muskie was only about one pound or less, but it was cool to see. The only other one I've ever caught was in the Rideau River near Ottawa, and it was also about one pound.
