Quinte Fishing

We fished the front of Glen Island Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night, from just before sundown until 10 or 11pm. The action was HOT on Monday night, and there were 4 other boats in on the action as well. We landed 8 keepers that will be very tasty.
Word must have spread about the action, as there were several more boats in the same spot on Tuesday night. The action wasn’t as steady as the previous night, but there were several nets in the water. I must add that there was some rude person (putting it lightly) who doesn’t know proper fishing/boating etiquette. He kept trolling right over the waters where we were casting and would do circles around the area where many people were fishing. Just a total jerkoff in my opinion. Anyway, the action was back on Wednesday evening as we netted 5 keepers in about two hours. The other boats weren’t having as much luck. Same thing on Thursday evening. Once the winds calmed a bit we managed to get to Glen Island and took another 3 for the freezer.
We fished Hay Bay and Mallory during the day with no luck. Just a few perch, silver bass, sheepshead or a small walleye that was tossed right back. Couldn’t land them during the day but we hammered them during the evening. Do yourself a favor and get to Glen Island. If the word spread like a wildfire around Bass Cove Campground, it might as well spread around this forum.
