Has anyone else noticed the different walleye bite in the last of August?

Normally, the walleye bite falls off the table after the middle of August, but not this year, they're still biting and in the usual early month hot spots. Mallory has been good as had the green marker near Ram Is.

What have you seen?

Still trolling harnesses and not going home skunked. 3 again today. Just a bit north of the bay and on the Trent.

Still getting at least one every night at dusk ... and yes, they are in their summer haunts.

That’s great news David. I haven’t been to the cottage for a month but I’ll be there this weekend and hitting my Long Reach hot spots for sure. If you’re around I’d still like to try some of those pinks if you still have.

The Super Swinger is a spinner lure using the Swedish swing silver blade, introduced to it many years ago by another friend from PA.

Used it for a change and found the fish are liking it.

Two years of restricted travel has made an impact on a lot of lakes, for the better
