If only I had a boat rated for it. With all the push in the auto industry with EVs I wonder how much R and D is being directed to EV outboards

Not even sure for our area these will apply. My boat is rated for a 300hp, currently has a 250 that I find more then adequate. I can hit 59 mph, best cruise seems to be 29 to 31.

I am not sure of the accuracy of this statement Dan, but I believe both Mercury and Yamaha have done R&D for Electric motors up to 150 HP. I think I read somewhere that they were being developed and tested in Sweden?
This was much earlier this year when I read this.

There are some very impressive electric motor designs.
The biggest hurt electric is power supply.

Interesting enough, take time and do some real research and you'll find actual patents for the Zero-Point-Power-Supply

Sorry for being the one who shatters some folks reality.
