We fished November 24 & 25
We struck out on Wednesday. Didn't move a stick for 5 hours. It was a beautiful sunny day and we did enjoy seeing a float plane buzz around the Reach for a couple hours.
On Thursday my fishing partner picked up a nice fish. It weighed 8 pounds on the nose. This pickerel was caught on a Bleeding Tiger Deep Tail Dancer 11, with 150 feet of line out past the planer board and a 2 ounce snap weight 50 feet up from the lure.
A happy lady is holding up her catch. Can you tell from the picture that she doesn't enjoy holding this fish. She's telling me to hurry up and take the picture. lol
She caught this fish just east of Keith's shoal in 95 feet of water. We marked lots of good hooks and many nice bait balls in this general area.
Today was a blowout with strong winds and uncomfortable waves. A few brave soles ventured out but our boat stayed at the dock. Back at it tomorrow.
We did catch a couple of nice sunsets this past Tuesday and Wednesday evening, here at Merland Park Cottages!
Tight lines!
