Quinte Fishing

I asked this last year but never got around to following up. I have a 1994 Indy Trail Deluxe 2up with the 488 fan in it. It has mechanical reverse, cable and lever to flip into reverse, and the reverse isn't engaging. Its a great machine all around. Anyone know a good shop or a guy that isnt going to charge an arm and a leg to pull the gearcase cover and fix it? I called a polaris shop and the shop rate is $118.00/hr with a 2 hr minimum just to pull the cover to tell me what part I need(if it even needs a part, could be a cable adjustment).
