if anyone is thinking about fishing near riverside park in the moira river, forget about it. Some p.o.s. put some kind of black sticky crap (oil, tar??) in the river and it's a big mess. I hope they find who did this and make them eat it.

Yup, somebody should hang for that. Lousy thing to do. I remember working on the downtown bridge in Trenton. On the river bottom in a chaisson. Just down from Domtar I believe. The whole river bottom is covered in about 4" of greenish slime that you can barely walk on without falling on your arse. You had to see it to believe it. Gotta wonder how good for the fish that *** is. Anybody else know of any other "contaminated" spots?

Hi Hoser
I would suggest reporting this to the Ministry of the Env. I am to far away to look (am in Prince Rupert BC), but if I observed it....I would force the hand of the public into investigating further. It could be something from generations ago....but here regardless, I would consider pressing the button. If it is from someone dumping....some people can and do get caught.....

The Bay of Quinte has been a noted "hotspot" for years, given its long history with industry, etc.. It is still my home regardless of working far away and I value it for future generations...whether I get around to ever having kids or not...lol. Please consider reporting this. There is some messy but overdue work that will have to be tackled at some point.

Regards
Don Stokes

I can't wait until they find out who it is, they owe me a $60 Scientific Anglers fly line, and a new pair of hip waders
