I herd that Beaver lake had 4-5 in of good black ice. Would like to know if it is passable by ATV yet to get to the far end or a least the south side islands ? Is the lake still bare or is it snow covered. Any info would be appreciated.

Was there all of last week on north beaver. Good 4-5 " of solid ice but only one machine out that we saw at night doing about 120 and not stopping until hit shore. I imagine there is more ice now with the recent temps.

Was out yesterday. 4-5 inches of clear ice east lake Neville Point side. Lots of pressure cracks forming. Few sled tracks, no sleds.

I wouldn't assume that the ice is the same on the entire lake.

Waiting a few more days might be better or checking before you wander.

I take it you know the gap between east and west sides is never safe.

Thanks for the info. Ya, I live on beaver lake on Neville point rd, and I know that it's never safe between north and south side. Looking at fishing the islands and to the left by the highway.

Can you access the south side of Beaver off Neville's Pt or is it all private? I know there is a deep hole nearer the south bank of the point but it is a considerably longer walk off the public launch then just coming off Neville's. I know there are docks there in summer but not sure of parking.

Thanks in advance.

You can get down onto the south side but it's pretty steep. Really have to be careful your sled doesn't run or pull you over. They pull the floating dock up on shore and it blocks much of the access through the park. You can get to the north side at the boat ramp. Limited parking.

Some guy's park off the road in the park. Be careful or you might need a tow to get out.
