Decided to do a short fish after work yesterday and glad I did. Went to big bay and walked out for about 15 minutes then set up. Ice was mostly 4-5" with a couple places that were less than that. Mostly black clear ice. Fish startred at 5 and ended at 5:30. Landed 6 fish with 2 lost at the hole and a few missed hits and stolen minnows. The sidewinder was calling them in but they werent hitting it but a 2nd rod rigged with a shiver minnow quickly dropped down finished the deal. No monsters with the biggest weighing 5.5lbs

Dan...yep, the golden time...5-5:30. You obviously hit a nice school. And it's great you say what you got them on & how you did it. I wish more people were comfortable in doing that. It's such a big area and so many fish. Glad to hear you finally found them.

Hey Dan. Wondering where u went o to Big Bay. Did you go on from Big Island side or Point Anne side. Not looking for specific location.

I was wondering too where to get onto big bay. Thinking that maybe I should try up there in stead of waiting for Huffs and Shermans Pt to freeze enough for me (I'm not a thin ice guy). I would be coming from Kingston.

Thanks!
