Going to put in a full day and just thinking about food. I usually throw a few hotdogs on, thought Id ask, what are folks cooking on their buddy heaters this year?

I usually do sausages over the heater, I know a lot of people do canned chilli, someone from the simcoe board posted what happens when you don’t open the can first. It made quite the mess

If I’m up to it, my Weber100 is in my sled (if I’m with buddies), or I bring my one burner stove to boil water for noodles, MRE’s & tea

I will prepare a grilled cheese sandwich at home and then cook on the Big Buddy on the ice. On days that I had extra time at home, I would fry a bit of bacon and prebuild the the grilled chees/bacon sandwich at home . All my grilling is done on the ice only the bacon is pre-cooked.

Not so much for myself but when I take my nieces out there with me I wrap a waffle ice cream cone in tinfoil and fill the cone with some small marshmallows and pieces of chocolate and Carmel if it's around. They always look forward to that treat for the year

We used to used the Coleman stoves to heat the permanent hut. We would bring a cast iron pan and side pork

Last time out I had a steak and cheese wrap. Made it at home and just foiled it up. Also I like to bring pre-cooked breakfeast sausages and let them sit on a skewer.

Venison Sausages, or goose sausages, cut up in bite size pieces after cooked and ate as finger food dipped in spicy mustard.

Pizza! Flip the cage on the buddy around a make a little tent over the pizza with some tin foil so your not just heating the bottom. 5 minutes and it's like hot out of the oven. Also cinnamon buns - your hut will have never smelled so good.
