Fish the morning from 8-12 noon. Weather was nice, and the fresh snow didn't cause any hard aches or pains pulling. Caught 1, first of the year and missed a couple.
Ice was 10 inches in 31 ft in front of the red barn.

Got out yesterday afternoon from 2:30-5:45 and set up in 27 ft of water. As per my last few times out the fish were scarce. Marked a few lookers and managed one good eater but that was it! I’ve only had 1 day I’ve caught more than 1 and they were both about 6 inches lol. Not sure what’s going on this year but I’ve had way better luck every other year. I’ve thrown every lure I have at them and tried full minnows, minnow heads, 1 minnow, 2 minnows everything I can think of. Anyway taking a break until next week, hopefully I can find the fish. Good luck everyone!

Well at least you are catching. Been out 10 times, only 1 walleye, 9 perch. Didn't mark to much for an afternoon bite. Ice was 10 inches straight out in 29 ft of water. Only 1 jumbo perch was caught. Like Sunny1, only really been marking perch, and tried everything in the tackle box. Having fun and being out doors, but one of the worst seasons at huffs. As for Ice, can't complain.

Yup, my dad and I have been out about 10 times, out of Wagers, Point Anne, and Wilkie. One walleye, and maybe 2 dozen perch, only a couple jumbo. Tried all sorts of things, and shiners and muds, but nothing has enticed. A fair few follows, but that’s it…

I’ve been skunked more times than I’ve caught this year! But the ice is the best it’s been in a lot of years and it’s so nice to get out and enjoy the day on the ice! Better catching days ahead!

It appears as if the fish are social distancing from us.

Fished in 26 ft on Thurs, still 9 inches of good ice. Caught 3 perch, 1 walleye, but the perch were almost a big as the walleye. Everything went back in. Seeing such a small walleye, makes me think, most big ones are gone through to Belleville already.

Giving up on huffs. No walleye movement only perch. Have not mark hardly any walleye in 3 weeks. Lots of ice but no fish. Going to try back lakes as the walleye run has made it pass to the spawning areas.

I’ve fishing down at the cables for 3 weekends in a row. Honestly best fishing I’ve had. Between 3 of us. We iced 56 fish. Usually only fish Saturday afternoon and Sunday mornings.

All been caught on gold and chartreuse splender. Gold Swedish pimple. Buckshots
Half minnows. Aggressive jigging.

Cool story yesterday tho. Marked a fish. Chased up from 24’ to 8 feet. Looked down my hole teasing the fish. Saw the first multiple times it was about a 7 pound laker. Never got it to fully take my bait but it was amazing to see. Good luck everyone.

Had zero luck this weekend at Huffs. Marked perch all day and maybe a couple walleye into primetime, but that's about it. Tough fishing...

Ice is thickest Ive seen in 30 yrs. Huffs has at least 14" of good ice. Quads and snowmachines are no problem. I won't be surprised if you see trucks on the ice.
