Has anyone been off big island this week to know how the ice is holding up. I always tread safely but at little heads up never hurts either. Time lines all

I was out today off the Herchimer Boat Launch. We were about halfway to the County (mid channel). I can tell you the ice was a good 12-14" with another 3 inch crust on top. Our auger was almost maxed out length wise. I was surprised.

I fished big bay on Sunday and the area i was at it was 18". Saw a couple trucks driving on the ice. This bit of warm will slush up some areas but not the base ice
