Just spent 2 days with 3 buddies on Telegraph Narrows and not a pickerel between us. This area was a guaranteed limit at one time. The ole Bay sure has changed in recent years. We did manage 30 or so mammoth perch which I never used to see. We were on 10" of good dark ice near the "Red Can" in front of County Shores.

Wow 3 days and notta eye. Ouch!!! I haven't been that way in a long time and have done well there in the past. Did you at least mark some? I've noticed more perch in the past couple weeks than all winter

I am still learning how to use my flasher and what marks a perch vs an eye, etc… but out of Trenton I was noticing a lot of marks, mostly perch. A fair few red marks, some fairly thick, so I assume those were eyes. Unfortunately, often they would rise up off bottom, come up to the bait, and then suddenly rocket back to bottom.

Not sure why yet…

The old grey mare she ain't what she used to be ....
A lot has changed and not for the better

The quantity of aquatic life in the Bay is a shadow of years gone by

That's just my opinion, and I am sure that there are those who will say that the Bay is amazing
