Spent Thursday thru Saturday punching holes in and around Bygott Bay and Mallory Bay. Fished everywhere from 12 to 30 feet and in between. Landed a few perch but not a single eye. Not even a viewing on the screen. Frustrating to say the least. The ice ranged from 12 - 16 inches but it is showing signs of weakening.

Thats one area that I haven't heard of folks ice fishing. I wonder with it being so late in the season all the walleyes have moved up closer to spawning grounds. Thanks for the report.

Sounds like a plausible explanation Dan. Its the first time trying that area as I know a cottage owner on Bygott Bay. We did talk to a couple of locals who swore that they had in the past "filled garbage bags full" in that same area :roll:

BTW, thanks for all the reports that you and the regulars put out. Keeps us all entertained during the long winter.
