Prince Edward Power and Sail Squadron is doing a marine radio course on April 30 at Picton yacht club. You still have time to go to the Canadian power and sail Squadrons web site and follow the links to the courses and register.

Very informative course.
I am glad that I had the chance to attend a few years back.

There's a small note in the Safe Boating Guide that says if you have a VHF radio on your boat, you only require half the number of flares, instead of 6 flares you need 3.

At CTC, a package of four is $64.99 and when you need 6, that means two packages.

If you have or thinking about a VHF radio, the Power Squadron course is the bees knees.

One course, one license for LIFE.

Not to get off topic, but you only need 3 flares if your boat is under 6 meters (19' 8")

Maybe someday I will need 6
