Looking for opinions on wheel bearing grease for boat trailer.
Everytime I finally find a grease that is easily available it is no longer easily available. My last choice was Mystik which looked great when I pulled the hubs off today but it looks like CTC no longer carries it. Before that it was Amsoil Marine grease. Today I bought Lucas Red and Sticky but before I repack my bearings with it I thought I would ask yall's opinion. It gets mixeds reviews online for marine use.

Thanks

I had the same quandary. I don't know anything about grease and I'm sure there's lot's of good ones. I changed my bearings this spring.

The old bearings were 5 years old with lots of KM's, still in very good condition. I have EZ lube spindles so only maintenance has been a shot of fresh grease in the fall.

I asked the guy's at Kingston Bearings and they suggested lithium based grease for boat trailer bearings.

My bearings came packed with red grease and the trailer manufacturer specifies Lithium Plex Red Grease #2.

I used Lucas Red "N" Tacky.

The Amsoil grease appears to also be very good.

Peavey Mart carries Mystik general purpose grease, if that's what your looking for.

The fact that you are even concerned about what brand of grease puts you ahead of 95% of the population who dont think about bearing maintenance until one of their wheels passes them on the highway. Ive used a bunch of different brands and everything marine grade has performed well.
