Well the boys got together for our annual opening walleye trip to Hay Bay. Windy Saturday morning with east winds was all we needed as an excuse to got back to bed to get more sleep. We fished Saturday evening and caught a few (bottom bouncing with worms). Sunday morning East winds again and able to pick up 1 or 2 per fisherman. Sunday evening though the bite was on between 4:30 -6 where I was told by my fishing partners that a frenzy started seeing a majority of the fisherman who were bottom bouncing hooking up. I personally started fishing at around 7 pm and though bite slower, was able to pick up a limit trolling crank bait right before dark (2-3 pounders). All in all a good opener with two of our fish around the 7 pound mark. Seemed to mark lots but they were definitely not agressive. Fished Monday for about the last 2 hrs before dark but no takers. The one thing I did notice was that the number of people out on Saturday was minimal (probably due to wind) but Sunday was also much less than I have seen in previous years, wondering if Pandemic has altered some traditions, hopefully for the short term.

Tight lines
Shawn

Good Report Shawn,
I ve heard about the drop in boats from a few folks and it might have to do with the cancellation of Kiwanis Derby the last couple years. Just a guess
