Was out to fish the 8th and the 9th with my son and my Dad, we fished Hay Bay and we got many small walleyes (12-14") didn't get a keeper.
Fished the 14 with HayBay Larry (see his report) and fished again with Laker John in the afternoon. Fished Thompsons Cove landing about 7 walleyes (one keeper at 18.5") and a LM Bass- 1.5 lbs. Fished over in Grandfathers Cove getting another 3 walleyes (12-14").
We got back to the dock as the storm started to rain and lightening flashes and a DOWNPOUR................ Sure was close to us at Bayview Resort.
Fished the evening of the 15th with Ohio Joe and we hit a couple of nice eyes (17.5 & 19.0") near the Old Church.
Note to Fishers:
If you see someone with their motor out of the water and the person paddling or rowing - perhaps it might be nice to see if you can offer any assistance. If you look at the rules of the water - it's the LAW.
Off the water til Aug 2nd - Vacation in Montreal.
