I recently again saw the show (for about the 8th time) where Kevin Lavers and Pete Bowman absolutely dominate the walleye with crankbaits. I believe the show took place in early September, but Kevin makes a reference that these big walleye that they were catching are in the bay all year long. Is this true and if so are they throughout the bay or just down in the picton area where the show was shot.

kevin is correct, but is not really 100% accurate...

the fish that come in, in the fall, are the large ones your probably after...these fish are not around in the summer...

BUT, there are nice fish caught through the summer, local fish so to speak...

fish up to 8 or so pounds will be caught every summer, but dont really expect to run into number of them...

thats what November is for.

I just got the DVD Giant Summer Walleye, made by the fish'n Canada. This show is on the DVD.The hotspots and waypoints are general of the areas, there is no mention of depth or time of year.It has to be late summer for the hogs to be in.The crankbaits they are using do work,I've had good luck with it even trolling.
