Hey guys just curious what speed everyone pulls bottom bouncers and harnesses at. Been pulling them between 1mph to 1.5 mph and not having any luck. Fished the mohawk bay area , the flats in hay bay and nothing.

That’s in the zone. Bottom contact is key

Personally I’m closer to the 1.3-1.5 with bouncers.

I like 1.1 to 1.2mph. Many walleye hits are triggered by dropping the rod tip back. Silver + pink and silver + chartreuse have been working well for me. I'm fishing the same area. If they're not at the mouth of the river, try going up the river. Good luck!

Speed will vary depending on currents etc. Pay attention to the line angle when your bouncer is in contact with the bottom. If it is too far behind the boat you are more likely to snag and your rig will be too close to the bouncer itself. Anything further back than 45 degrees you need to adjust your speed or weight size, or both. Like BigMac said, bottom contact is key. If you can't feel bottom you're not in the zone.
