Haven't been out to wet a line, but have been watching the activity on the weekend and into Tuesday, on the shoals in Middle Hay Bay.

Didn't see any nets but never less than 7-8 boats and this morning there were 13 boats trolling or drifting, a very busy area.

Stay tuned

We were out a couple times and the bite was good. The bite really slowed down around noon. Get there early or come back out for the late afternoon evening bite

Hi Superdad,

I too have a place on north shore haybay (as of last year) and was fishing the last week as well while technically "working from home". The morning being much more productive in regards to numbers of fish than the afternoon. Winds were primarily out of the east so was not expecting much so was pretty happy with our results. Last week Sunday morning was best I have done this year (really good until about 10 am). Not only did we do well, but it looked like most others did the same. The last few days I have noted a good number of fisherman on the north side just West of Pickerel Park all the way down to Ram Island. I personally fished closer to the middle of that area at the shoal you mention in front of the fish camp down past Ram. As a whole I found the best method was to cover distance (bottom bouncer) as the fish were a bit sluggish and spread out.

Good luck and hope to see you on the water this year!

Shawn
