Good day - coming from south western Ontario for a visit and some fishing - bringing kayak and hope to run into some bass . Looking on charts and google maps have me a bit unsure of where to start . Staying in Trenton area wondering about fishing both sides of the bay there or going to Massasauga point and fishing down towards Muscote bay. Obviously have to pick an area with the yak, unlike bass boat fishing. Looking for good weed bed areas. Thanks for any general information . In return I can give some thoughts about Lake St Clair where I normally fish.

Lots of good weed beds both east and west of the river mouth in Trenton. Lots of largemouth & possible pickerel & pike. If you go east, heading past Bakers Island to Makatewis Is. & around the lighthouse has been good to me in the past. If you get a smallmouth, let me know. It would be a miracle ! Bill

With a predominantly south west wind in the summer Trenton on the south side will give you a bit of protection with the wind
