We are camping in Adolphustown and the walleye are not cooperating. Fished the last three mornings and not a bite. Word is that " no one has been catching". Was wondering if there were small mouth spots around this area or do I need to head down to Amherst Island.
Any help would be appreciated

Hey GapSorry to hear the walleyes arent biting. I have caught them in the summer down that area casting weedlines with the td9 and other crankbaits that goes a bit deepe,r starting at the first point east of the glenora fisheries station and working east to around keiths shoal. If youre looking for smallies I would go to amherst

Thanks Dan. We were actually doing just that with the td9. Fished the hell out of Keith's and no luck. Also tried long reach Thompson's point, Glenn island etc. Usually works great for us but not this year for some reason. Caught four sheep's head yesterday at the mouth of hay bay by the Thompson boat ramp. Biggest was 15 pounds and hockey it the hill plate so it felt like 30. Was trolling then. Joined the other eight boats there hoping for some luck there. Less wrong tomorrow so will head to Amherst

Actually you may want to try and slooowly drag a grub through the deeper vegitation near the drop offs.
As for smallies they are around, don't be afraid to look shallow. Like 2 feet shallow, if they are cruzin around you can have an awesome time

Fished Amherst. Didn't do great but my buddy who fishes twice a year caught a 4 pounder and a five pounder so that was cool. Thanks to all for the advice
