I was looking to try these "spy baits" for smallies and was wondering what colors one would recommend for Lake O. They are not cheap I see and already have a box of impulse buys as it is. Hoping to only buy a few to start anyways. Also I see that there are a few manufacturers and wanted to know which are best.

Thanks

I'm from the Montreal area and I use the jackall I-prop 75. They are excellent for the St-Lawrence river. For the colors I will let someone else advise you.

Is a great lure at a great price...
This way you can get a couple of colors

I like the Duo Realis 90 Spinbait. I find natural colours are best...Smelt and Shiner are two favourites. Fish it on very light (6 to 8lb) fluorocarbon. Most people fish them too fast....the deeper you let it sink, the slower the retrieve.

I have a bunch of these and have found the natural colors work best too.

I double what crowman stated. Killer bait.3 different weights as well. You can bomb these a mile

I went with the Duo Realis 90. Added a Storm Wiggle Wart for the walleye. Buddy uses them.

Thanks all for you help!
