I wish Bath would just plunk down the cash and fix the ramp. Pour a concrete ramp and have some pilings drilled so that they can put out a long dock

That would be nice and last forever. It needs improvement. Most boat ramps are in need of serious repairs.

I just sent Darrell Reynolds "Supervisor of Parks and Facilities" for Loyalist Township an email asking when the ramp may be back in service.
I will post any response I get from him.

As Someone who grew up in southwestern Ontario the boat ramps in this area always impressed me, we always had to pay at private ramps. Town or county owned ramps were unheard of. I use finkles alot and yes it is inconvenient at times depending on water levels but we are pretty fortunate to have easy access to some of the best fishing in the country.
I have had to wait numerous times at that ramp for water trucks that are filling up in the boat ramp. By the Looks of the damage to ramp I believe that was the cause.
Maybe that should be brought up to the county.

That makes complete sense Bob.

Heard back from the township, repairs are scheduled next week (weather depending)

This is the reply

Thanks for your inquiry. We are scheduled to repair the Finkles Shore Boat Ramp on September 14th and 15th, 2022. If no unforeseen issues arise, the ramp will be serviceable starting the evening of the 15th.

I’m guessing they are still working on it but wondering if the anticipated end of day today fix is still on target? Hoping to get out from finkles tomorrow (Friday) morning. Just hoping someone close by can update if they happen to drive by the launch today.

Thanks in advance.
Andrew
