I was heading out to the south side of Amherst Is on the 8th Dec for some Lakers and slowed down to investigate what was floating in the water. It looked like there was two birds sitting on something big. Was just hoping it wasn't a body. Then as I got closer I thought it was a pair of water skis. Couldn't believe that is was actually two deer swimming around a mile from shore in 44 degree water. Why?? I kept my distance and pointed them in towards Amherst island. They ended up on Grape Island. Hopefully the new enough to continue on to Amherst.

Nice start to the trip. Ended up with six lakers to top it off.
