Ventured out to Potters this afternoon, hoping for some decent ice. It was a bit sketchy at the shoreline, not surprising, and further out the ice was inconsistent. Over the deep water, the ice was only about 2.5" - we turned back and set up over 14.5 FOW with 4" of good ice. Saw almost nothing until about 4:20 pm when a 3.5 pounder slammed my gold buckshot spoon. Caught two more, both 2 pounds, in the next 30 min - they all seemed to want to chase upward like lake trout - then it all shut down at dark.

Thanks to those who post reports on here. I hope this one helps someone out.

I am thinking about coming down from Oshawa to do some ice fishing. How is Potter's Creek these days? I heard there's some ice but we have been having some cold weather but have we had enough? Anyone out there I was thinking of coming down Wednesday or Thursday
