My Dad is 74 years old and wants me to take him walleye fishing this October or November. He heard that the night fishing is awesome and great chances to catch some very nice walleye. Can anyone provide us with some when and where type information so I can make this trip a special one for my Dad? I have fished Quinte years ago and I am somewhat familiar but I have never fished there late in the year and have never night fished there. Thanks in advance and good fishing everyone!!! Ron

A good start for info on fall fishing would be the archives on this board.

There's a ton of stuff for the last couple years that should point you in the right direction.

Night is ok, but there are some big fish taken during the day, so I wouldn't discount daytime fishing.

As the fall approaches, there'll be more info and once the fishing starts, lots of how to's and where to's.

It's a fun time for the year, a lot of fishers are waiting for the fall and have been waiting all year.

I have always had good luck fishing picton bay at night late october or november. theres one spot that realy sticks out in my mind i think its called chimney point. its just before the harbour and has what looks to be a water pump house witch has a light that shines out on the water and the bait fish seem move to this light. the wallys should be right be hind them but seeing as you have a good deal of time from now till then my suggestion would be look back at last years post that may give you a better time frame.

hope this helps
