Spent the weekend at my brother-in-law's place on Mud Bay with the wife but still managed to sneak in a few hours of fishing while we were there. I just happened to have the boat with me! Although we didn't get many walleyes, the few we got were nice fish...8 to 9 pounds. We trolled the ridge that runs from Grenadier Is. to Charity Shoal and picked up fish as we were dropping back into deeper water. Everything came on Renowsky's either on dipsies or behind boards with snap-weights...both set to run 30-40 ft. down. I forgot to throw in my six-color leadcore rigs which would have been perfect. Dropped a very large one right at the boat..still having nightmares! What a great fishery..wish I could get there more often! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Sounds like you had a good weekend..I told you there were fish their, :). Maybe I better get my boat away from the dock and head back to the Lake for some trolling..although i like the casting and jigging for them in the river alot better than the trolling on the big water....the river fish eat better too.

hey guys. I like to head to Pidgeon Island this time of year for some of those monster eyes. Most of the boats out ther are usually from your side of the pond. Just wondering if you've heard any reports yet.

I have heard they are hitting out around Charity and over by Calf Island Spit...southeast of Gallou Island. I would assume they would be hitting out there around Pigeon as well..

Headed your way in a couple of weeks to give Thompsons and Shermans a try...staying at Perfect Vue.
