Hey everyone,

We’ll, we made it out. It wasn’t what we expected but we got out.
This will be my 7th and maybe shortest season on the bay.
Met up with Golkenshin from the board at Pt Anne. Great meeting you today and hanging out!
Ah, first…you should know I forgot my flippin’ FF at home for the morning fish…duh!
Fishing blind…not fun!
Anyhow, Pt Anne had pretty good ice. Didn’t measure but I’d say around 6” of clear ice plus the other stuff and some slush where we checked and fished.
G marked a few and I saw one on camera mid morning once Sun could penetrate snow cover.
We left to search for fish.
While I went to grab my FF, G went to check aikins - no good - he went from 5ish inch of ice to going thru in one or two pokes in a hurry 2-300 yard out he said!
Went to good old potters
Ice was surprisingly(to me) thinner then in BB - only about 3.5-4” of clear ice where we checked and fished - approx 400 m from launch
With confidence of having the FF we fished from about 3 to dark and I can’t say that I marked a walleye!
I did catch an 11” and 12” perch. Something anyway!
Good day out in either case. That’s fishing!
Hopefully I will make it out one or two more times but not sure that’ll happen.
Thanks everyone for info provided for us less fortunate to only get out a time or two a year on the bay.
I’ve learned a lot here and will keep learning

Take care all
Thanks for partnering up with me Goldkenshin - much appreciated. Hopefully we can do it again sometime.

We sure tried!
Walking was a bit tough in the snow.
